Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the constant presence of Brazilian workers in French Guiana and Suriname, in relation to topics such as migration, clandestinity and labor relations, taking as a point of reference the northern border of Brazil, and more specifically, the municipality of Oiapoque-AP. It seems relevant to us to understand the general picture of the recent changes in relation to this historical phenomenon and current trends in relation to the jobs occupied by Brazilian immigrants, legal or illegal, in the region, especially after the inauguration of the Binational Bridge. The methodology of this work was developed from participant observation with great help of ethnographic writing and documentary analysis.
